Thanksgiving is going to be fantastic, with chilly morning temperatures followed by sunshine throughout the day and highs near 60 degrees. The temperature is likely to fall to the lower 30s by late afternoon.

The addition of some cloud cover will moderate temperatures closer to the low to mid-40s for Tuesday morning, while a few intervals of sun for the afternoon will allow for highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Mostly sunny skies should be back for an encore today, which will be a great day for travel if you're trying to beat the travel rush and leave early for your Thanksgiving destination. I never buy online (unless absolutely necessarily), because that's like looking a local merchant in the eye and telling him or her that I'd rather send my money out of state rather than support a business (and jobs) here. Otherwise, cloud cover will increase throughout the day with highs in the upper 40s.

Burbank is forecasted to peak at 92 on Wednesday and 91 on Thursday, breaking records set in 1950. The area will remain mostly clear through the overnight period with lows in the mid-30s.

Relatively mild and tranquil weather will be in place across the Carolinas for road travel on Wednesday.
