Battlefield 1 Turning Tides DLC

As detailed on the game's official website, the first of the new maps - Cape Helles and Achi Baba - will be released on December 11 for Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners.

Battlefield 1's latest DLC expansion, Turning Tides, had its release date confirmed today by DICE.

The third expansion pack, called Turning Tides, is actually releasing in two waves.

Turning Tides continues to expand on its multiplayer component, with new content that expands its brutal battles into the sea. An exact date for the rest of Turning Tides' content hasn't been provided, but those with the Premium Pass will again get a head start with the new features.

Quite why the Royal Marines aren't included for the 1915 British-led assault on Gallipoli is beyond you or I, but at least they're not hidden in a loot box, eh? The flawless warm-up for the new fronts of Battlefield 1 Turning Tides. 6 weapons and 2 melee weapons will be added to your arsenal, and you'll get to rule the waves with the L-Class Destroyer.

A new trailer has also been released, and you can check it out below. In case you want to get a sense of the quality of the other expansions first, there will be free trials going on from the previous two expansions from November 22 to December 4., and then again from December 8 to December 10.

EA has also announced that the Frontlines mode will be coming to Suez on November 27. These are in turn inspired by two 1918 events: the battle of Vittorio Veneto and the Meuse-Argonne offensive on the Western Front. A further two maps - Heligoland Bight and Zeebrugge - will be available in January when the non-premium Battlefield 1 players will be able to join the fray.
