Springsteen on Broadway Receives Second Extension

If you know Bruce Springsteen, this news should not surprise you.

Bruce Springsteen is currently in the midst of a sold-out, 16-week run of performances on Broadway, and the iconic singer-songwriter has now extended the residency, with scheduled shows stretching from February into June 2018. The show's initial run through November 26 sold out in a single day, and after its first week of five performances it grossed $2.33 million. Ticketmaster has been selling tickets to the show through its Verified Fan platform, but said that it would not accept additional registrations for the added shows.

So, again there is hope for the thousands of fans who missed out on tickets for Springsteen's acclaimed - by everyone but us, anyway - performance at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Ticketmaster will contact and provide further details about the new shows to those who were placed on Standby, but didn't receive a code, as well as those who received a code but were unable to purchase tickets.

Comprising reworked versions of Springsteen's songs and autobiographical stories "Springsteen on Broadway" is not a conventional Broadway show.

The iconic rock star announced Monday that Springsteen on Broadway has extended its run for an additional four months in order to meet overwhelming audience demand. Find NJ.com on Facebook.
