FLASHBACK: No. 2 Michigan State takes down No. 1 Kentucky in Champions Classic

1-ranked player in this year's freshman class and all-everything Duke freshman, will not return in the second half against Michigan State after suffering an eye injury in the first half.

Duke has been on fire to start the 2017-18 season, as the Blue Devils have won both of their games by 29 and 30 points respectively. On Friday, Duke beat Elon and then on Sunday they smoked Utah Valley. The Blue Devils have covered the spread in the lone lined game they have played in.

The Blue Devils also saw an historic feat, as Coach Mike Kyzyzewski came away with his 1000th win.

By the looks of things, this could be a rough season for Grayson Allen haters. He had six rebounds. Graham scored 10 points with 12 assists in the Jayhawks' opener, proving his move to lead guard should be a smooth one this season. I think the Spartans will take their learning experiences from a year ago and turn it into some big wins this year. If Michigan State reaches the NCAA Final Four - it will be their 10th trip.

Earlier, I predicted that Duke would fall in this early season matchup but bounce back by going undefeated until, at least, their road game with the North Carolina Tar Heels in February. The Spartans were young past year and struggled to find consistency, but returns almost the whole team.

The two top teams in the nation meet up tonight when No. 1 Duke takes on No. 2 Michigan State at 7PM ET.
