- Without knowing, a Florida dad halted an elaborate kidnapping plan in its tracks.

Amber Brackney, 17, had been leaving the family home on Preservation Path, Crestview on Tuesday evening, when she found the end of her driveway blocked with barrels.

Cops believe the teens had "concocted a plan to kidnap the teenage daughter" by trying to force her to leave her auto to move the barrels, so they could grab her.

Minutes later, the father heard his dogs barking and saw his motion-activated lights come on. He also heard a vehicle door closing, and when he saw some individuals appearing to try and break into his garage, the dad fired three warning shots with his gun, which sent the intruders fleeing into the woods.

After he saw a group of individuals trying to break into his house, deputies said the father fired three shots, making the intruders flee into the woods. They described the events as a plot to rob the home because they believed the girl's father to be wealthy.

A neighbor fortunately saw a suspicious vehicle near her home around the same timeframe and told deputies. They were identified as 19-year-old Keilon Johnson, 17-year-old Austin French, 16-year-old Tyree Johnson, and a 15-year-old.

Authorities later found the four fleeing in a 2016 Jeep Liberty and stopped them, according to a report.

Johnson was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail, while the other younger suspect were sent to a Department of Juvenile Justice facility.

Keilon Johnson, 19, along with three underage teenagers, were arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping and attempted home invasion robbery.

Baker, Fla. - Four teens armed with a knife, guns and a roll of tape planned to kidnap and rob members of a Baker family last night, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
