As always, both games are available to play on Xbox One via the Backwards Compatibility feature.

For Xbox 360, Microsoft announced Child of Eden and Marlow Briggs and the Mask of the Death as free games for December 2017 under Games with Gold promotion. Tales from the Borderlands is free on Xbox One until December 15.

Detailed on Major Nelson's official blog, this month's line-up is headlined by the brutal yet brilliant Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide. This Xbox Games with Gold subscription is one to avail no matter what.

It's that time of the month: Microsoft has unveiled its Games with Gold list for December 2017, revealing to subscribers the titles they get for free with their Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Vermintide is available all December, but Telltale Games' Back To The Future series only between December 16 and January 15.

With so many games on sale, choosing which games to get can be quite a daunting task. May be interested in a new video compiled by the team over at Digital Foundry which provides a comparison on how the Frostbite Engine scale across Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and PC.

Basically, log in on the 1st and 16th of December, and you should be able to grab all of December's free games.

Sales of two of Sony's products have seen incredible surges on Amazon thanks to Black Friday deals. You'll have access to a great library of PS4 exclusive titles and every third-party game (CoD, FIFA, Destiny 2, etc).

This is by no means a definitive list, and I encourage all gamers to browse the full list of Xbox Black Friday digital game sales that are now available.
