Ag Hall hosts 50th Community Thanksgiving Dinner

And reaching the 50-year plateau gave reason for organizers to celebrate during a ceremony before the dinner, when they honored longtime supporters, volunteers and businesses that have played a large role throughout the years. "Anybody is welcome and everybody does come in". Volunteers were set to begin serving dinners to sit-down guests around noon Thursday inside the new Pittsburg County Emergency Operations Center, which is the new location for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner. I was homeless at one time sleeping on the streets and stuff. "It always bothered me that there was a division there".

"We thought that it was awesome that the church made a decision to do this and felt it was important to try and be a part of it", Brad said.

"They love the food, but they want to be in a bright, warm, happy place, and that's what we want to make it", said Father Nicholas Vaskov, of St. Mary of Mercy Church. Volunteers are needed to help put this dinner on.

"The biggest comments I heard were that people would be by themselves eating a turkey sandwich", Luckemeyer said. Most of those meals were delivered Thursday morning to those who called and ordered a meal by the November 17 deadline.
