Novelty called Cup 430 was replaced in the lineup track Cup 380, which was issued in the amount of 60 cars.

Just when we thought Lotus has pretty much squeezed all the performance it could from the Exige, this comes out. After launching the updated Elise Cup 260 last month, Lotus has revealed the new Exige Cup 430. Meet the most extreme road-going Exige ever, which pairs 430 horsepower with an unladen mass of 2409 lbs to please your inner Colin Chapman.

Like its predecessor, the novelty is equipped with 3.5-liter "six" Toyota with a mechanical supercharger and a six-speed manual transmission. It makes 430 hp at 7,000 rpm and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque from 4,000 rpm.

Unsurprisingly, carbon-fibre is the main material that contributes to this, and you'll find it on the front splitter, front access panel, roof, diffuser surround, air-intake side pods, one-piece tailgate and the motorsport-derived rear wing.

The new special edition has a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 that has been tuned to produce 424bhp and 440Nm, yet weighs just 1,059 kg, meaning it can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 3.2 seconds and onto a maximum speed of 180mph. That lap time makes it the fastest production auto ever to lap the historic track - even 1.2 seconds faster than the Lotus 3-Eleven road vehicle. Forged alloy wheels measuring 17 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear are wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres (215/45 profile front and 285/30 profile rear).

Stopping power comes courtesy of four-piston AP Racing brake calipers and new performance two-piece, J-hook brake discs.

"This is the vehicle that we have always wanted to build, and I am sure that all Lotus enthusiasts will be delighted with the end product", said CEO Jean-Marc Gales.

While road-legal in Europe and Asia, the Exige Cup 430 is a track auto at heart, featuring such essentials as Eibach's adjustable anti-roll bars, Nitron's springs and three-way adjustable dampers ( with 24 click adjustment settings for rebound, 24 for low speed compression, and 16 for high speed compression).
