Fire broke out at Annapurna Studios

Though four fire tenders doused the flames, the set of "Manam", that starred all the three generations - Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya was completely destroyed.

Annapurna Studios, promoted by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, was set up in 1975 by late Telugu actor Nageswara Rao Akkineni. Another fire officer said a short-circuit may have caused the blaze, though the exact cause is being investigated. Some students from the Annapurna film school were shooting a short film in the Studio. It's the set where nanna had spent most of his last days. Whenever we go there, we feel his presence; it's unfortunate that it's no longer there.

"The Construction cost of the set is around Rs. 2 crore". However, there was no loss of life and no one was injured as the sets were empty.

Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna reached the location and got to know the details of the situation. Like you, I am also here and trying to find out the reason. Today, it is one of the India's leading production and distribution companies and several big ticket movies including Baahubali have been shot in the Studios. The Annapurna studios fire accident was happened on Monday, 13 November evening. Below, check the photos and videos of the fire mishap.
