The purple shirt design, which features a Brontosaurus skeleton with the subtitle "Cool Lizard", was worn by Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) in the season's first episode.

In the first episode of the show's second season, which aired on October 27, Dustin can be seen sporting a purple hoodie that features a logo from the Science Museum of Minnesota. All the proof you need: a science museum's website crashed Tuesday as thousands trying to buy a hoodie featured in Season 2.

The Science Museum of Minnesota has become a haven for fans of "Stranger Things".

The museum first sold the hoodie in their store in the early 1980s, and employees at the institution chose to re-introduce the item of clothing after they were inundated with calls, emails and social media requests following its appearance in Stranger Things - see the hoodie in question below.

Naturally, with such demand, the museum made a decision to bring back the retro design. Newsweek said that the site came back, and 80,000 purple hoodies had already been sold on Wednesday. Having already collected numerous accolades for its plot lines, "Stranger Things" recently fetched praise from those with apparel on their brains, as actor Gaten Matarazzo's character, Dustin Henderson, donned the aforementioned hoodie this season, generating vast interest in the brontosaurus skeleton-bearing item that the museum sold when hosting a traveling exhibit at its old haunt.

It was back up again by 11 a.m.

"We're getting the Science Museum of Minnesota on the map internationally, and we're just excited to be part of this ride".

If you'd like to own Dustin's Brontosaurus sweatshirt for yourself, you can find out more information here.

Members of the media are invited to the Science Museum between 8 and 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7 to get photos/footage of Brontosaurus apparel sales. Prices range from $15 to $40, depending on size and style, according to the museum.

I must admit that I have yet to watch an episode of "Stranger Things", but, based on the buzz that the Netflix show has generated, I intend to rectify that oversight quite soon.
