The Louis CK Fallout Has Begun

HBO will pull Louis C.K. from services following masturbation claims

The New York Times first detailed the allegations against Louis C.K.in a bombshell report that included the stories of five women accused him of inappropriate behavior, including masturbating in front of them.

Even in a recent climate whereby consequences for newly surfaced allegations have come swiftly, this was a startling development; C.K.'s long-on-hiatus series Louie had been a key building block in establishing the network's critical credibility, and C.K.'s clout in Hollywood had been another, as he was producing two shows for the network and another two through the network's production offices for other networks. "He will no longer serve as executive producer or receive compensation on any of the four shows we were producing with him - "Better Things, ' "Baskets, ' 'One Mississippi" and 'The Cops". FX Networks and FXP take all necessary actions to protect our employees and thoroughly investigate any allegations of misconduct within our workplace.

FX announced that the network will be ending its relationship with Louis C.K.

With "Louie", FX helped launch Louis C.K.'s successful career in television. He is now under fire after five women claimed in the Times that he either masturbated in front of them, asked them to watch him masturbate, or masturbated while on the phone with them, a pattern of inappropriate behavior that allegedly went on for years.

TBS, on which "The Cops" was set to air, said on Friday production on the animated series "has been suspended until further review".

News of the special being dropped comes as distributors scrapped the release of his new movie I Love You, Daddy.

The network that made Louis C.K. a powerful auteur is backing away.

It's been a whirlwind 48-hours for comedy icon Louis C.K. Chloe Grace Moretz, who plays C.K.'s daughter in the film, is also not promoting the movie.

Additionally, 3 Arts Management and Kovert Creative have also parted ways with C.K., leaving him without his management company and publicists. Shortly after C.K. confirmed the allegations against him were true, FX issued a press release severing ties with him.

"Fuck yes they're fearless", Rachel Bloom tweeted, quoting a previous tweet that praised the women who came forward.

Stars from the film are already backing away from C.K.as well.

The Good Place creator Michael Schur apologized for featuring C.K. on one of his previous sitcoms, Parks and Recreation.
