Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 unofficially pops up again with 18:9 screen

Xiaomi has announced the launch of two new power banks to extend its commitment to manufacture power banks in India. With this move, Xiaomi is looking to make the power bank segment of its own in India. It is now tied up with Samsung as the biggest smartphone brand in the country. Both the power banks have a low-power mode, which can be activated by tapping the power button twice. Interesting thing is that they are being assembled at Xiaomi's third factory unit exclusively built for manufacturing accessories in Noida and managed by partner Hipad.

With the dedicated manufacturing plant for power bank, we hope the new Mi Power bank 2i will be stock. Notably, it is claimed that the initial production capacity of the manufacturing plant will be seven power banks per minute. One of the first initiatives the company has taken in this direction is adding a Xiaomi hologram to its power banks. The facility is located in Gurugram and is spread over 2.3lakh square feet.

According to the company, the 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i can fully charge Mi A1 4.3 times, Apple iPhone 7 for 7.1 times and iPad Mini 4 for around 2.5 times, while the 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i can charge Mi A1 up to 2.2 times, iPhone 7 for about 3.5 times and iPad Mini 4 for 1.3 times.

For the unaware, Xiaomi is already selling its power bank 2 lineup in India, but they are priced slightly higher. Apparently, the Mi 2i Power Banks are "Made in India" at Xiaomi's recently inaugurated plant in Noida. That said, the dimension of the Mi 2i banks are slightly different. On the other hand, the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i also supports dual USB output and it is created to charge smartphones, tablets and laptops. The 20,000 mAh Mi Power Bank 2i is estimated at Rs 1,499 and this one also has support for Quick 3.0. The 10,000mAh power bank is 14.2mm thin and weighs 240 grams. These measures protect it from outside temperature, input overvoltage, output overvoltage, short circuit, incorrect insertion, overcharge and discharge, output overcurrent and also give it a reset mechanism and PTC protective circuits for the cell. A major challenge is fake power banks flooding the market.
