ABC News won't allow reporter Brian Ross to cover stories related to President Trump, a decision that comes after he delivered an inaccurate report on former national security adviser Michael Flynn's guilty plea. "And then after the election, the president-elect asked him to contact Russian Federation on issues including working together to fight ISIS".

According to ABC News, Flynn is also prepared to testify against Trump, members of Trump's family and White House officials.

Calling the correction a clarification prompted criticism, CNN reported, and a few hours later, ABC News tweeted calling it a correction.

Flynn pleaded guilty last week to lying to the FBI about his conversations with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, cutting a cooperation deal in Robert S. Mueller's investigation into election interference. In just one example, ABC had to apologize in 2012 when Ross reported on "Good Morning America" that James Holmes, the suspect in the movie theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado, might be connected to the tea party, based on a name listed on a web page. "More Networks and "papers" should do the same with their Fake News!" the president tweeted on Saturday.

"The thing that compounded our mistake is that not only did we make a mistake, if we had then corrected ourselves right away, again - we wouldn't be in this position".

ABC News' Brian Ross made the error during a morning broadcast on December 1; during the evening broadcast of ABC News' 6:30 p.m. show, World News Tonight, Ross clarified that his source actually said it was when Trump was president-elect and was no longer a candidate. As a result of our continued reporting over the next several hours ultimately we determined the information was wrong and we corrected the mistake on air and online. And then it took us seven hours, eight hours to get our story straight.

ABC News would not comment on Conway's remarks on Monday. "It's not acceptable. And we will all pay the price for a long time".

This is not the first high-profile mistake by Ross. "To me, fake news is when you make up a story about the Clintons running a sex ring out of the basement of a pizza shop that does not have a basement".

"This is exactly what Trump and his allies want to say: 'No matter what you hear on mainstream media, it's fake". Stocks plunged shortly after the report was put out.
