In an opinion piece for the New York Times, Bush writes: 'Of course he said it.

Referring to Trump's reported denials after the election, Bush wrote: "President Trump is now indulging in some revisionist history". Lauer, who has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women, was the anchor who announced that Bush would be leaving the morning show in October of 2016 after the Trump tape leaked.

"Access Hollywood" is responding to reports that President Trump doesn't believe that the infamous tape of him on the program - bragging about groping and kissing women without their consent - is real. Calling Trump's new claims "revisionist history", Bush says that, "This has hit a raw nerve in me". It is especially painful for the women who have come forward, at the risk of forever being linked to one event, this man, this president of the United States.

Billy Bush is making a special late-night appearance Monday on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert". Soon after Mr. Trump declared his candidacy, I let it be known on "Access Hollywood Live" that I thought this was an absurd idea. He and Bush had been riding on a bus, but they were both wearing microphones as a camera crew captured their arrival to the NBC Burbank lot, where Trump was to do a cameo on "Days of Our Lives". "Grab 'em by the pussy". But last week, news broke that Trump has reportedly contested whether the voice on the recording was actually him.

After confessing to the 2005 comments as "locker room talk", and apologising for them 2016, Trump has been recently suggesting to allies that the tape - the one published by the Washington Post in which Trump speaks to Bush and casually advocates sexual assault - wasn't real.

It marks the former "Today" co-host's first late-night visit since he was sacked from NBC following the release of the now-infamous "Access Hollywood" tape. A member of the production crew also confirmed to Variety that he recalls hearing the audio of the conversation as it was taking place.
