Facebook Messenger Games List: Launching New Titles, Video Chat And Livestream Features

But it's not about the past, Facebook has loads of new stuff for Games on Messenger. Interestingly, for what may be a first in games, there are more females on the platform than males.

Facebook rolled out its Instant Games platform previous year to developers so they could create gaming activities for Messenger and the platform's News Feed.

Over 245 million people use video chat on Messenger on a monthly basis and Facebook plans to bring this feature into Instant Games. The fun-sounding feature will kick off with Words With Friends, so instead of merely imagining your opponent's face when you lay down a 100-point word that no one's ever heard of, you'll soon have the fun of seeing their reaction when they realize what you've done.

The new features arrive as Messenger has quickly expanded its game offerings, which launched with 20 titles.

Last year, Facebook launched games on Messenger and to continue the excitement next year, the platform revealed upcoming titles and other new features for gamers.

Besides the live streaming feature, people will also be able to video chat while playing a game.

Everyone wants to see the expressions of friends while playing game and beating them. Now Messenger has 70 game titles available globally, adding classics like Tetris and 8 Ball Pool to its repertoire.

Once selected, you can choose precisely who to broadcast to, and add a short description to get your viewers interested. Once players are finished streaming, the stream will then be published to your page or profile - although Facebook says that you can remove the post if you want to. Like all posts, these live video posts can be deleted at any time.

Angry Birds will be joining the recently launched Tetris which includes all the old modes fans love, like the marathon mode and the ability to play alongside friends.

This is a great tool for broadcasters or just friends to use to enhance their connections and conversations with friends.

"We're so glad that people are embracing the wonderful experiences game developers are building for Instant Games", Facebook said in its announcement. Also coming down the line for Messengers Gaming service is Sonic Jump from Sega, Disney Tsum Tsum (I have no idea what this is, but apparently it's a thing) and Puzzle & Dragons.

More information on the live streaming and new games will be coming in the new year when the app updates.
