Magnitude Earthquake strikes Uttararkhand, No casualties reported

Severe natural disaster tremors were felt at around 9 in the evening in Delhi-NCR. However, no casualties have reported yet; the reports suggested Uttrakhand was the epicentre of the natural disaster.

A strong quake that was estimated to measure 5.5 on the Richter scale struck Uttarakhand around 8:50 pm on Wednesday.

According to TV reports, in Uttarakhand the magnitude recorded on the Richter scale is 5.5. Reports said panic-stricken people rushed out of their houses and buildings to gather in open streets.

Tremors were also felt in Roorkee and Dehradun in Uttarakhand and parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

No reports of casualty or damage to property were available at the time of this update.
