Man Killed After Aircraft Crashes in Buchanan County

The California Highway Patrol reports one person was killed on Highway 99 West, early Saturday morning.

Trooper Gary Miller said the crash happened at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Flat Rock Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Buchanan County Sheriff's Department and emergency rescue personnel responded to the crash, according to a news release from the MSHP.

Passenger 30-year-old Samantha Mcculloch, from Clear Lake, was flown by helicopter to St. Cloud Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Two Highway Patrol officers and the truck occupants suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center.
