Danny Masterson Written Out Of Netflix's 'The Ranch' Amid Sexual Assault Claims

Netflix released a statement (via Deadline) saying the comedy series co-starring Ashton Kutcher will write Masterson's character off the show.

The series, which also stars Ashton Kutcher, Masterson's fellow "That '70s Show" alum, is now filming its third season.

A total of four women claim Masterson assaulted them, and police are now investigating at least one incident, TMZ said.

Masterson has denied all allegations of rape and said that the encounters in question were consensual.

A representative for Masterson, who has not been charged with a crime, denied the allegations in a statement the same month. One woman said she was raped in 2003 and filed a police report in 2004, but the case didn't move forward. However, in the current climate, it seems as if you are presumed guilty the moment you are accused'. One of his alleged victims, Chrissie Bixler, dated Masterson for six years and claims he had sex with her while she was unconscious at least twice during their relationship.

The woman fired back, "I'm one of them".

The accuser asked the executive why Netflix had not taken any action against Masterson, to which Yeatman replied that the company didn't believe the rape allegations were true.

"While he was coaching a youth soccer match (Sunday), Mr. Yeatman ― a Netflix kids' programming executive ― was approached by a stranger who did not identify herself or explain her connection to Danny Masterson", the statement said, according to HuffPost.

He added that he looks forward to clearing his name "once and for all", but thanked his fans and the cast and crew of the show, wishing them "nothing but success".

Many thought Masterson should have been fired from the show immediately following the claims against him, similar to how Netflix cut ties with Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K. after the news hit about their own sexual misconduct scandals. As for who that could be, it would be interesting if they go for Topher Grace in order to continue the That 70's Show reunion vibe.
