New Star Wars: Battlefront 2 patch adjusts/tweaks economy and progression system

Star Wars Battlefront II will now not have loot boxes or microtransactions

The latest Star Wars Battlefront 2 update speeds up progression in a big way.

Fans and haters alike, have not been happy with the launch of Star Wars Battlefront II, mainly due to the loot crate controversy at launch. But it doesn't change the whole pay-to-win nature of the Star Card system.

Now after the first wave of changes that adjusted Star Cards, EA is altering a few other things about the contested Star Wars shooter.

EA DICE hopes that all of these changes will lead to players being able to progress in the ways that they want to easier than before.

Today, an update went live that includes some adjustments to the economy and progression.

"These are only some initial steps toward making much larger changes", EA's blog promised.

The end-of-round payout has been increased.

Credits are the in-game currency used to purchase rewards such as characters and loot boxes.

First up, the end-of-round credit rewards have been increased, and though a specific figure has not been given, EA also remarks that this has been increased across the board with top performing players seeing an even higher boost. It's been made clear that you were hitting the Arcade Mode Credit cap faster than we expected, so we wanted to alleviate that by increasing it to 1500 Credits.

What do you think of the new changes?

Finally, and probably most importantly, Daily Login Crates will now provide players with more Credits, but like the extra match bonus, the amount has not yet been revealed.

After this update, starting December 5, Battlefront II's The Last Jedi season begins, which will add free content in the oncoming weeks that include new heroes, maps and vehicles. Finn and Captain Phasma will join the battle as playable heroes, along with new vehicles and locations including a new Galactic Assault map Crait and Starfighter Assault map D'Qar.
