Pizza Hut Will Now Deliver Cold Beer and Wine to Pair With Your Pie

There is a particular mood you might find yourself in one evening.

"We know that beer and wine go great with pizza and we're uniquely positioned to deliver these given many of our restaurants already serve beer and wine", Stacy Lynn Bourgeois, the director of brand marketing for Pizza Hut, said in a press release. When you order a greasy Pizza Hut pie, you will be able to order six packs of Anheuser-Busch beers for $10.99 apiece.

In Phoenix, the initial beer selection will be six-packs of Budweiser, Bud Light, Shock Top and Kilt Lifter, a local favorite.

Want some beer with your pizza? Pizza Hut did not specify which other cities would get this service, or when. The company will add wine soon, but has yet to decide if it will deliver bottles or glasses. Wine will also be an option on the menu come January.

Pizza hut says all drivers with beer and wine deliveries on their routes will be at least 21 years old.

Beer and wine are already now served at many Pizza Hut locations, so the brand has some advantages. Customers also have to have their IDs ready at the door to take advantage of delivery. In November, parent company Yum Brands reported that Pizza Hut's same-store sales were flat in the most recent quarter.
