Police respond to school shooting in Graham Washington

The Pierce County Sherriff's Department released images on Twitter of the two suspects believed to be involved in Tuesday afternoon's shooting, which left two 16-year-old male students injured just outside Graham-Kapowsin High School, Seattle's Q13 Fox reported.

Four schools were on lockdown as deputies investigated the shooting: Graham-Kapowsin High, Frontier Middle School, Nelson Elementary School and Graham Elementary School, according to Bethel School District spokesman Douglas Boyles.

One of the shooting victims ran into the school after he was shot, Troyer said, and made it into the locker room bathroom.

Deputies are seeking a green sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, with multiple black males inside that may have fled the school after the shooting, Troyer said. Troyer said the two victims are boys.

Deputies are now sweeping the school grounds, although the department says there are no indications that the shooters are on campus.

Their condition is not yet known. All remaining students have been secured with deputies, the department said. Shots were reportedly fired on the Eustis Hunt Rd. side of the campus.

Dave Reichert, United States Rep. R-Auburn, also tweeted, "My prayers are w/ the families of the victims; the students, teachers, & staff at the school; & the community affected".

Once the danger was cleared the students were released around 4:30 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. EST). It's unclear whether the shooter or shooters were students at the school.

High school students will be reunited with their parents at the Frontier Junior High School gymnasium, 22110 108th Ave.

A spokesperson for Bethel school district said schools in the area were on lockdown.
