Anushka Sharma's 'Pari' to release on Holi weekend

Anushka Sharma's 'Pari' to release on Holi weekend

The teaser of Pari was released last night and we can definitely say: "This Holi, be ready to be scared". The release date was shifted to avoid any clash with other movies that are coming in the upcoming months. After speculations of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati releasing on January 25.

NH 10 showed Anushka as a modern day urban women who lands in trouble on the highway while Phillauri, set in the backdrop of India in the 1920s, presented the actress as a village belle who turns into a ghost after ending her life after a heartbreak.

The 18- second long teaser just has a close-up shot of Anushka's face which goes on to change with every passing fraction of a second.

Sharma, who has also started shooting for Aanand L Rai's Zero alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, shared the teaser on Twitter, with the caption "Sweet dreams guys". Though it does not look too different from the first poster of the movie, it manages to make Anushka bleed to her scariest best.

The movie, which is Anushka's third production under her banner Clean Slate Films, is directed by debutant Prosit Roy. KirArj Entertainment is also one of the producer partner with Anushka's production company. The feel of the movie seems really dark, and it has gained hype because a popular and acclaimed actress like Anushka is daring to dip her toes into something as dark as a horror movie. The makers of Padmavat are yet to announce the official release date of the film.

The film has been slated to hit the silver screens on March 2.

We are sure that the trailer will now send shivers down the lane, market and city whenever it comes.
