Globes to roll out red carpet under cloud of sex scandals

Golden Globes 2018: The Sexiest looks on the red carpet.

Winfrey, who along with most of the show's other attendees donned a black gown to show support for victims of sexual misconduct, was the first black woman to receive the annual Cecil B De Mille award, joining the likes of Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand and Sophia Loren. She is the first African-American woman to be honored with the award and she mesmerized everyone with her acceptance speech.

Model Chrissy Teigen was less diplomatic in her response when she wrote, "Ew go away".

She also spoke of the important of a free press that is now "under siege".

The day after the speech from the Queen Mother of all things wonderful broke the internet, CNN's Brian Stelter reported that Winfrey is "actively thinking" about running for president. "I know it's hard but #TIMESUP for your dad too", Tara Strong wrote. So if that's true, I just want to say: Oprah, you will never be president! Oprah herself has denied that she's considering a run for president, but her partner Stedman Graham was later quoted as saying she "absolutely" would if people wanted her to. "We also know it's the insatiable dedication to uncovering the absolute truth that keeps us from turning a blind eye to corruption and to injustice", she declared.

Prior to Winfrey's speech, the night's host, late night comedian Seth Meyers, raised the possibility by noting that he had mocked Trump at the White House Correspondents Dinner before his run. He said Republicans won't cross a president who controls their base regardless of what he says or does.

The idea began organically through a series of Tweets and emails Monday night when attendees to Monday's Golden Globe awards in Hollywood dressed in black in support of #TimesUp, a movement, said Samantha Sexton, a Tallahassee lobbyist. "I love red", she told Fox News.

"Honestly Ivanka, it took a staggering level of heinous idiocy for you to post this tweet".

President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka is endorsing Oprah Winfrey's message, if not a political future, in a recent tweet.

And, considering Oprah's whole speech was pretty much a jab at the patriarchy, we understand people's overall confusion.

Yet Ivanka remains her father's biggest supporter and is somehow a part of the Trump administration.
