Bella Thorne Reveals She Was Sexually Abused in Her Childhood Until Age 14

The next day, Bella logged back on to say thank you to her fans for supporting her after she came forward with her allegations, and to let them know she hears their stories, too.

The 20 year old replied with the candid message: 'Yeah I was.

Thorne revealed that she was sexually and physically abused from as early as she can remember.

She continued: "Over and over I waited for it to stop and finally it did". Please stand up for every soul mistreated.

Actress Bella Thorne has taken to social media to reveal details about the abuse she suffered as a child.

Bella, who rose to fame on Disney's Shake It Up, shared her story on Instagram during the Golden Globes broadcast on Sunday night. That tweet was in a response to another user who criticised a photo the actress shared by writing, "What did Disney do to this girl!?!" Regardless of what you think about Bella, you have to admit she is one courageous young woman who is using her celebrity platform the right way this week.

In December, Thorne implied in a tweet that she had been molested.

"Thx for sharing I myself was sexually abused but it started when I was five and then I was put in the system at 13", they wrote. The stories are intense and are things that no child should ever have to face, but Thorne has allowed a way of public catharsis for everybody to get a dialogue going and setting up a support system for each other. The actress was moved by the warm reception and made a YouTube video were she tearfully thanked everyone for their kind words.

"I'm on Twitter reading about all the people sharing your sexual abuse stories with me from mine and I just want to say I'm really proud of all you guys", she said on her Instagram stories.

"I'm really proud of all you guys".
