Farming is one of the main stay of Benue state indigenes which has before now reduced the unemployment ratio for the state and meaningfully engaged the people to be productive which in turn has been able to boost the economy of the sate and the Nation at large.

"Some of us, in 1966, fought the Nigerian civil war; Benue has contributed to the unity of this country".

The Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom had earlier declared Thursday a public holiday in the state in honour of the dead and other victims of the armed Fulani herdsmen's fresh attacks on farming communities in logo and Guma local government areas of the state. But we refuse to die.

The representative of the United Nations, Dr Mathins Ejibike, in his condolence message to the government and people of the state, said killings in Benue required global attention.

THEWILL recalls that Spokesperson of the 13 Brigade, Capt. Kayode Owolabi, had revealed that the suspects were arrested by troops of 93 Battalion deployed in Arufu, a border town between Taraba and Benue states.

Second Republic Minister of Steel, Chief Paul Unongo, yesterday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to evolve more proactive measures in combating the gruesome attacks on the people of Benue State by Fulani herdsmen.
