The Premier League icons were front row to see the Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-103 in the eighth regular season National Basketball Association game in London.

Trevor Booker, power forward for the 76ers, said: "It is my first time in London, but I have always wanted to have the accent - so hopefully I can pick it up while I am here!"

"We have to be dialled in at every moment". It's great for that to happen for that past team but it's the past.

The Philadelphia 76ers are the league's no. 1 rebounding team this season, averaging 47.8 rebounds per game to the Celtics' 44.5 rebounds per game (11th in the league). Morris' tech had no effect on the outcome as the Celtics departed with the 114-103 win.

SIR ALEX FERGUSON, Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne were among a host of A-list stars who flocked to the O2 Arena for the hottest ticket in town on Thursday night. The league is also aided by the recent emergence of foreign-born star players, like Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, who have catalyzed growth in other countries.

And while Smart's on/off splits revealed a negative differential in offensive rating the past two seasons, a new trend has emerged this season: The are, maybe surprisingly, a better offensive team when Smart is on the floor.

- Embiid yet to get going on the offensive end but a huge block towards the end of the quarter had the fans excited.

After a quiet first half, Tatum couldn't miss, and turnovers started flowing freely from Philly as they gave up what had been a 22-point lead.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens is making sure Jayson Tatum's early-career success is not going to his head. Just as major was a 19-point performance off the bench by Marcus Morris.

Larry Nance Jr. had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Los Angeles, which blew an early 19-point lead before running away in the fourth quarter.

The loss, which came in the Sixers' first-ever regular season contest outside of North America, halted a four-game winning streak, and resulted in the Celts clinching a victory in the rivals' annual season series.

The Celtics head to London this week with the most wins in the National Basketball Association at 33. The transatlantic trip is an X factor in trying to read this game, and Philadelphia's form has been good of late, but I'd still take the defensive solidity of the Celtics to carry them here.

Kyrie Irving, who arrived in Boston with pressure to prove himself while removed from the shadow of LeBron James, says he has taken a step back this season and put a greater importance on his team.

76ers: Embiid was the only player on either team to finish with a double-double, adding 10 rebounds to his 15 points.
