Thomas Lemar: 5 things to know about the Arsenal and Liverpool target

Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has admitted that Arsenal and Liverpool target Thomas Lemar could leave in January.

The Daily Mirror is claiming that the Premier League outfits would have to pay as much as the £90m Arsenal bid for Lemar on transfer deadline day back in August to successfully prise Lemar away from the French side. Everything can change. The things I can say today are not true tomorrow.

Liverpool have been linked with French global and Monaco star Thomas Lemar and the rumors have gathered pace since the departure of Coutinho from the Anfield club.

Arsenal are said to be still monitoring the situation amid reports claiming that both City and Manchester United are trying to convince the Gunners to part ways with the Chile worldwide this month.

It happened to Liverpool [with Coutinho]. "Players like Keita (Balde), Jovetic, Tielemans are all players signed in the knowledge that Lemar will go at some point", Brassell told the Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool are leading the race to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar over the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea because of Philippe Coutinho's £142million move to Barcelona.

With a little less than three weeks left in the transfer window, Jardim is expected to have more uncertain days over Lemar's future at the Stade Louis II. But it also makes a lot of sense as to why Lemar would want to wait, why Monaco would want to wait. If I stayed here for 10 years, I'd want Lemar to stay with me for 10 years. According to Sky Sports, the Gunners lodged a staggering £92 million offer at the end of the previous window in an attempt to sign the 22-year-old. I wouldn't rule it out, but I don't see him beating down their door saying "it's now or never" because I don't think it is.
