'I'm not a racist': Trump's denial after 's***hole countries' controversy

Earlier this week, President Trump reportedly singled out Haiti as one of several "shithole" countries during a White House meeting with lawmakers to discuss immigration policy. That's when he used these vile and vulgar comments, calling the nations they come from, 's***holes.' The exact word used by the president - not just once, but repeatedly. Two Democrats - Congressional Black Caucus Chair Cedric Richmond and House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jerry Nadler - said Friday they would be filing a censure resolution next week against the president for his comments, as lawmakers continue to work toward an immigration deal.

Hugo Martinez, El Salvador's foreign minister, called on the USA government to confirm or deny Trump's statements. But regrettably, it seems that not everyone is committed to negotiating in good faith.

He later added, "I thought he misspoke, and, as I said, I think President Trump is not a racist, but I do think he is racially uninformed".

"Why do we need more Haitians?" He called a proposal made at the immigration meeting "a big setback for DACA".

The Associated Press, however, reported that Trump privately defended the alleged comment, arguing it wasn't racist but "straightforward".

"However, we still think we can get there and we are very focused on trying to make sure that happens", she said.

"He was very kind to the Haitians, he was very eloquent to them, and he was the first president to (have) ever visited Haitians, and he said he was going to be the champion of Haitians", Haitian-American Georges Sami Saati said. "Then the influencer said you also need to call the telephone company, tie up the lines and call the telephone company talking about 'I need to have my global phone plan include S-hole'". Made up by Dems. When Haitians' protected status came up, Durbin said Trump responded "Haitians?" I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians.

"If that's not racism, I don't know how you can define it", U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., said.

Graham has not yet publicly commented on what the president said or on Durbin's remarks. He has also considered recording all his meetings to prevent similar controversies in the future. Trump said, according to people familiar with the meeting.

"Donald Trump is an embarrassment and a national disgrace".

To no surprise president started tweeting this morning denying that he used those words.
