Raptors without Kyle Lowry for Tuesday's game against Heat

Nets fight to finish, but fall to Raptors in overtime

The Raptors are set to face the Miami Heat on Tuesday night. He went into the game averaging 14.3 points. With the loss, Cleveland fell to 26-14 on the season and 11-10 on the road. Though Toronto led throughout, the Heat came all the way back to tie the game with 4:43 remaining in the fourth.

With DeMar DeRozan playing out of his mind, a modernized offense, underrated continuity and a young second unit that's emerged as one of the best in the National Basketball Association, the 2017-18 Toronto Raptors are probably the best group in the franchise's history.

Kyle Lowry will miss tonight's game after injuring his back in a hard fall of a 114-113 overtime win in Brooklyn last night.

With seven minutes and 50 seconds to go in the third quarter, the Raptors' Serge Ibaka and Heat forward James Johnson got into a scuffle.

In this case, both Ibaka and Johnson were given double technicals and shown the exit doors. Brooklyn's Joe Harris finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds in the contest.

-Tim Hardaway Jr. will miss his 20th consecutive game Wednesday because of the stress injury to his leg, but he may be closer than expected to returning to the New York Knicks. Even if Lowry was keeping to himself because he expected to be traded - which he was right to expect - it seems unusual that they never even got dinner or something together. I think that's the most important thing of all. "Their guards have playing extremely well".

Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert, who has been out since November 20 with a knee injury, will not make his return Thursday as had been hoped.

Lue also said there will be no changes in his lineup for the game Thursday. He represents the Raptors, he's proud to be a Toronto Raptor and that says a lot for him. "You can kind of tell with our ball movement wasn't all the way there like it normally be when Kyle's out there". There's been a slight downtick in measurable hustle over the last couple of games and Toronto needs to address that should they want to see their success continue. The Raptors might have lost this game had it not been for rotation members Wright and VanVleet.

Lowry left the arena in a wheelchair following the game.

"Our focus, on back-to-back [games], it doesn't matter; getting in at three in the morning, doesn't matter, nobody cares". Jonas Valanciunas was a key piece for Toronto with 20 points and 13 rebounds. "He could be putting up big numbers on a bad team, but he's putting up big numbers and in the process we're contending to win a conference title". You put yourself in a position where it started way before that.
