Samsung to unveil Galaxy S9 at MWC, not CES
It was only a few hours after Samsung announced the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S9 that the rumours about the latest next-generation phone surfaced.
The specifications say that the new Samsung Galaxy S9 will come with a 5.8 inch curved display with a Quad HD+ resolution. This is something we've heard before when ET News revealed the S9 would have a camera capable of shooting video up to 1,000fps.
Foldable Samsung Galaxy Phone Reportedly Coming Out This December Or Early 2019
Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated Galaxy X foldable phone. Although there are rumours that Galaxy S9 Plus will have a dual camera setup with 6 GB RAM so if you need a better camera and more RAM then you'll have to shed more money.
The leaked image also reveals that the handset will come with wireless charging support, IP68 certification which makes the handset dust and water resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, and an 8MP front-facing camera. While he did not appear to have specifically mentioned MWC, the Samsung executive suggested the unveiling would occur at a trade show happening next month, which others said was an obvious reference to MWC 2018. But what we don't know are the specs, or any standout features that Samsung's next flagship phone might bring to the table, at least not officially. The camera is also said to feature super slow-mo mode. Under the hood, we can expect the phones to be powered by Exynos 9810 SoC built on the 10nm process with a maximum clock speed of 2.9GHz. Clearly not wanting to be outdone, it's gone ahead and given us a shot of what is alleged to be the Galaxy S9's box, complete with a list of hardware specs. The difference this year, according to sources, is that the Samsung not only showed, in utmost secrecy of course, a more refined device than last year's, it also cast its net wider, seeking feedback from a wider range of potential customers. The Galaxy S9 is also said to include AKG tuned earphones in the box.
