Some of President Donald Trump's friends and advisers are telling him not to sit for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, CNN reported Thursday.

Earlier this week the U.S. media reported that Mr Trump's lawyers were in talks with the Mueller investigation to set a date for an interview.

Mueller and his team are investigating whether Russian Federation and Trump's Republican campaign co-ordinated to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election and whether Trump worked to obstruct an FBI investigation into his aides.

"President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that the first of 52 "F-52 and F-35" fighter jets have been delivered to Norway - proudly touting the "$10 billion" sale of military equipment to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation ally during a news conference with the Norwegian prime minister. "When they have no collusion ... it seems unlikely that you'd even have an interview".

US President Donald Trump says there has been no collusion with Russian Federation.

Responding to a question on U.S. desire to improve the relationship with other countries, President Donald Trump has said that working with countries like India, Russia and China is a good, not bad thing.

Trump had previously said he would be "100 per cent" willing to meet Mueller, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director. Trump denied that, and said he'd be "100 percent" willing tell his version of events under oath.

The comments come after Trump had already lashed out at the investigations on Twitter Wednesday morning, urging Republicans to take control of the inquiries and repeating his claim that they are on a "witch hunt".

NBC News reported that Trump's lawyers have talked about potential formats in the case that Mueller asks to interview Trump. Trump targeted the price tag before he was commander in chief, saying he would save billions, and Lockheed Martin responded with commitments to lower its costs.

Schiff complained that Republicans were unwilling to press those members of the Trump team who participated in a June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower for a complete record of their communications over email, telephone, and encrypted applications.

The transcript of the interview with Simpson that Feinstein released earlier this week buttresses that point.

U.S. intelligence agencies believe Russian Federation tried to sway the election in favour of Mr Trump and a special counsel - that's Robert Mueller - is looking into whether anyone from his campaign colluded in the effort.

Mr Trump has withheld his tax returns from public scrutiny in the United States but because the situation is more open in Britain, it enabled investigators to examine more close his business deals.

"We're led to believe the president who conspired with Russian Federation was also the very same president who didn't want to get elected".

Others condemned the US president's comments as inappropriate or racist.

Although Bannon was sacked from his White House position by Trump in August, he had been a close Trump associate since he joined the Trump campaign and helped the political novice defeat Democrat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.

"Russia & the world is laughing at the stupidity they are witnessing".

I don't think Mueller will see it the same way. Her staff helped conduct the interview with Simpson, who had also asked for the interview to be released.

The CIA and Office of the Director of National Intelligence declined to comment.

"On Fire and Fury, by Michael Wolff: "[Wolff] said he interviewed me for three hours in the White House.

"With that being said, I have personally directed the fix to the unmasking process since taking office and today's vote is about foreign surveillance of foreign bad guys on foreign land".

Feinstein faces a primary from California state Senate leader Kevin de Leon. He's also cooperating with the investigation after reaching a plea deal.
