Black was a way for celebrities to show solidarity with victims of sexual harassment, as well as embrace the death of outdated and misogynistic Hollywood practices - black is the colour of mourning after all.

In addition to throwing shade at Wahlberg, Munn and Nash used the toast to bash the men who attended this year's Golden Globe Awards but didn't offer any vocal support to the #TimesUp movement.

The Isreali actor was presented with the prestigious award, which recognises women who push the boundaries in entertainment, for her performance in Wonder Woman.

The Wonder Women's speech can be counted in such category easily. She commands the attention of the world and in doing so, she sends a positive example for humanity. "And we will continue to band together to make strides uniting for equality".

Gal Gadot delivered a powerful and inspiring speech after accepting the #SeeHer award at the 2018 Critics Choice Awards on Thursday, Jan. 11. Many people also took issue with the fact that the film was entered as a comedy for the Globes alongside less-serious movies like The Greatest Showman.

Besides taking digs at Wahlberg and the men of Hollywood, Munn starred as Massachusetts-born Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan in a bit that spoofed the new film "I, Tonya". Who happens to be one the reasons that Gal is receiving this award. "She did it for us", Patty explained. "She sees wrong that must be made right", Gadot said.

"There's that sad music again", Gary Oldman said when it started in on him after his win for "Darkest Hour", but it didn't stop him.

It is far from assured that The Shape of Water, which won best picture at the Critics' Choice Awards, will do the same at the Oscars, since the Oscars employ a preferential ballot, which the Critics' Choice Awards do not, and that can affect things a lot.
