Why You Have To Wait Longer To Play Monster Hunter

Monster Hunter: World PC Delay Explained

Monster Hunter: World PC Delay Explained

Then head down to the comments and let us know if you plan to take part in next week's Monster Hunter: World beta.

World will be out in Autumn 2018.

PC gamers were upset to learn the release date of Monster Hunter: World on computers. This will happen until the console version is completely ready and essentially "out the door". The reason? Simple. Because it would unbalance the game.

Monster Hunter World will not include loot boxes and microtransactions to unlock better gear, as doing so just to increase profits "doesn't make any sense", according to series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto. The game's producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, clarified that the team behind the development of the game needed to make sure that the servers for matchmaking are fine-tuned before the title's release on the PC.

It was further revealed that the developers encountered challenges with online matchmaking.

Tsujimoto also pointed out that even when you exclude the work needed to make the PC port run well, there's also the matter of matchmaking and other services provided by PSN, and Xbox Live that Capcom will need to have a replacement for on PC.

Monster Hunter: World is on the horizon and, thankfully, Capcom has been pretty forthcoming about the game's features. From Jan. 18 to Jan. 22, 2018, players can hunt down the Great Jagras, Barroth, AnJanath, and the Nergigante, which is the title's featured beast.

Fans who were waiting to play the game on PC will have to wait quite a bit longer as the PC version has been delayed several times in development.

In much stranger Monster Hunter news, a new World trailer features a unusual clown pirate teaching players about the game's slide attacks. One of those items is the Dualshock 4 Rathalos Edition, which is the same one bundled in the very limited PlayStation 4 Pro Monster Hunter: World Rathalos Edition Bundle that came out last December. This new video showcases the stunning but deadly Coral Highlands environment in Monster Hunter World.
