Willie Nelson ends San Diego concert after a song, cancels his shows this week

Country and Americana music legend Willie Nelson still performs dozens of live gigs annually, and his signature song "On the Road Again" is all about the life he loves, "making music with my friends".

Willie Nelson abruptly ended his concert in San Diego this weekend after coughing and experiencing breathing difficulties during the first song of his performance.

Fans who purchased tickets to the aborted Harrah's show will receive refunds. In August he stopped a show in Salt Lake City after suffering respiratory issues that resulted in a brief hospitalization.

Nelson has since canceled his concert scheduled tonight in Palm Desert, California as well as his shows on Wednesday in Rohnert Park, California, on Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas and on Sunday in Laughlin, Nevada.

The 84-year-old star either had "a bad cold or the flu,"and is recovering at his home in Spicewood, Texas, his publicist told the Union-Tribune. It should post to your account within 7-10 business days".

Nelson has had to cancel shows several times due to illness over the past few years, including seven shows from late January to early February 2017. Nelson is now scheduled to resume touring on February 7 with a show at Macon, Georgia's Macon City Auditorium.
