The e-commerce giant has confirmed that their entire Amazon Echo lineup will now be available in the offline market too. Interestingly, Amazon brings more skills to Echo which will now let users keep in touch with each other using the Alexa-to-Alexa calling and messaging feature. As spotted by Android Police, customers in India can now purchase the Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Plus, and Harman Kardon Allure, although all of the speakers are notably more expensive than the versions sold in the US. Echo Dot is available at a price of Rs 4,499, Echo for Rs 9,999, and Echo Plus for Rs 14,999. The new VIZIO SmartCast skill for Alexa will also be available to 2018 VIZIO SmartCast Full HD and HD display customers in the coming weeks. Communications, on the other hand, will allow users to send messages from one Echo speaker to another. These features have already been available to many users across the country, but soon the broader rollout will start.

In addition to Alexa skills, customers can also use the Amazon Music Service to access a huge library of Indian and global music. Just go to in your browser and you'll be able to log-in and control your device without needing a phone.

Jayshree Gururaj, Director - Amazon Devices, said, "We are grateful to the customers across India who have helped create the Alexa experience during the invite phase".

As a refresher, the Echo Dot retails for ₹4,499, the regular Echo is on sale for ₹9,999, and the Echo Plus with built-in smart home hub is available for ₹14,999. In the near future, developers are gearing up to add more skills to enable users to perform activities like - order food, call a taxi, control lights and more. "Since Alexa runs in the cloud, she is always getting smarter - the Alexa experience in India continues to evolve with new features, even better speech recognition, new localized skills, expanded music selection, and more".

And then there's the issue of people visiting yaour home and playing around with your Echo device by shouting "Alexa" at it repeatedly. For those buying the Amazon Echo Plus online and at select retail outlets, Amazon is offering a Philips Hue bulb free.
