Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Won't Blame Anyone For Manchester United Struggles

It was little wonder Wenger was in such an upbeat mood as he had just watched Gabon striker Aubameyang, a 56 million ($78 million) club-record signing from Borussia Dortmund, and Armenia midfielder Mkhitaryan produce superb first appearances at their new club's stadium in a 5-1 demolition of Everton.

Aubameyang was signed in January as Wenger aimed to bolster his side's attacking options and it seems in doing so, he feels Lacazette's confidence has suffered a blow.

"He played only one game at home against Werder Bremen".

In reference to Carzola's possible retirement, Wenger said; "I hope not, he's on the UEFA List".

"The best goalscorer ever in Arsenal's history".

Their rocky patch at the end of previous year appears to be fully behind the club and Mauricio Pochettino's side come into this game unbeaten in 11 games, most recently seeing off Manchester United 2-0 before drawing 2-2 with Liverpool and overcoming Newport County 2-0 in an FA Cup fourth-round replay.

The Gunners still have their work cut-out, if they are to force their way back inside the top four this season, with five points now separating themselves with fourth placed Chelsea, and a win away at Spurs tomorrow will surely be a necessity, if Wenger " s side are to finish inside the Champions League spots this season.

'We won the Europa League final, I scored a goal.

Wenger admitted: "When you transfer numbers from one league to another, it is not necessarily transferable, especially in the top six".

"We have world-class players who appreciate what this means to Arsenal now and what we want to do this season".

The Frenchman then played down expectations on his new star, citing a difficulty in translating goalscoring records in other leagues into the English top tier.

"I know that, at the moment, we perform well, we feel strong and we're not scared to play any team, be it Arsenal or whichever team it is".

Moura is in contention to make his debut, while Toby Alderweireld, Harry Winks and Danny Rose, who all returned for Spurs against Newport County, are fit to play.
