What will be the playing conditions?

In the first match on Thursday, the Afridi-led Royals beat Sehwag's Diamonds, who had set a challenging target of 165, according to a Geo TV report.

The second match will be played on Friday.

Along with Afridi and Sehwag, the event also features glittering names such as Shoaib Akhtar, Abdul Razzaq, Mahela Jayawardene, Jacques Kallis, Zaheer Khan, Michael Hussey and others. It will be the first time when global superstars will play cricket on ice. The pitch is an artificial turf carpet placed in the middle of the snowfield surrounded by the breathtaking Swiss Alps. The post was a massive hit and also found a fan in the form of former captain Sourav Ganguly.

Abdul Razzaq picked up 4/18 while Shoaib Akhtar took 2/32 for the Royals.

England's Owais Shah was the star of the show, scoring 74 off 34 balls for the winning team.

The water body freezes into a thick layer of ice which is incredibly able to withstand more than 200 tons of weight, more than enough to host a game of cricket and even house spectators and a grandstand.
