Olivier Giroud moves to Chelsea, Arsenal fans can't handle it

Jamie Redknapp reacts to Aubameyang and Giroud deadline day moves

The Belgian striker completed the final piece of a three-way transfer merry-go-round on transfer deadline day with Olivier Giroud joining Chelsea from the Gunners in an £18million move.

The 28-year-old Gabon global was recently dropped by Dortmund for two league games after missing a club appointment, with coach Peter Stoeger saying he felt the player lacked focus. He hailed Chelsea's hunger for silverware and called them the most trophy-laden English club over the past few years.

The 31-year-old joined Antonio Conte's side in a deal worth €17 million (R252 million), according to Transfermarkt.

"The plan B for Chelsea, I think, will work with him coming in".

"I think the club has such a big history and great players like Thierry Henry", the Gabon global told Arsenal Player.

Borussia Dortmund have signed striker Michy Batshuayi from English Premier League outfit Chelsea on loan, the German football club said.

"But the first reason is the sporting challenge".

Although Batshuayi has scored 10 goals in all competitions for Chelsea this term, he failed to displace first-choice striker Alvaro Morata, starting only three Premier League games.

"I'm happy to be here in this great team", Aubameyang told the club's website. The Blues, who won the league last season are now fourth in the league table with 50 points, trailing league leaders Manchester City by 18 points.

Despite having to watch both games from the subs bench it looked like Giroud still managed to smile through the matches and thoroughly enjoy himself by taking selfies and chatting to his team mates.

"There will be two nice games against Barcelona".

"I think we got a good replacement for him". For me the relationship you have with the coach is very important.
