Cape Elizabeth native Clare Egan competed in the 7.5 kilometer sprint biathlon Saturday in PyeongChang, South Korea, as the Olympic Games get underway.

Susan Dunklee finished 66th with a time of 24 minutes and 13.1 seconds with five penalties, one on prone and four on standing.

Marte Olsbu of Norway won the silver medal Saturday.

Look for Laura Dahlmeier (Germany) to compete for the gold.

Other names to watch include Darya Domracheva (Belarus), Kaisa Makarainen (Finland), Anastasiya Merkushyna (Ukraine) and Dorothea Wierer (Italy).

The 29-year-old from Prince George managed to hit eight of 10 targets and finished 47 out of 87 competitors.
