The Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl 52.

Fans were gifted free Bud Light at restaurants and bars along the parade route all thanks to eagle's player Lane Johnson.

PATCO also said having a ticket wouldn't necessarily mean fans will get a ride, and suggested people also consider walking across the almost 2-mile-long Benjamin Franklin Bridge.

"It's once in a lifetime", Laura Gipple of Danville, said as she waited for the parade to start. It's finally here. Your beloved Eagles are heading up Broad Street.

All 50,000 special parade day tickets for the regional railroad lines were sold out as of 1 p.m., said Andrew Busch, a spokesman for Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority. They said "it was a lifetime in the making". "GO EAGLES!" he said.

"It's so fun to be here in Philly when history is happening".

Schools, museums, courts, government offices and even the Philadelphia Zoo were shut down as the city celebrated an underdog Eagles team that few outside Philadelphia thought had a prayer of beating the mighty Patriots.

As many as two million people are expected to jam the parade route.

After the parade made it's way toward the museum, parts of Broad Street opened up to foot traffic.

Among those arrested were a 28-year-old man accused of assaulting an Associated Press photographer who was taking pictures of street celebrations and vandalism near City Hall, and a 20-year-old who police say was one of seven men seen flipping a vehicle onto its side.

Sorry Tom Brady, but you've been replaced.

After a food fight broke out at a Philly convenience store after the Super Bowl win, two cops were on duty at the location ahead of Thursday's parade.

― Reuters picNEW YORK, Feb 9 ― Hundreds of thousands of Eagles fans flooded the streets of Philadelphia yesterday to salute the National Football League team's upset Super Bowl victory over the heavily favoured New England Patriots.
