It comes in two RAM and storage variants - 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. The front Selfie-light on the Redmi 5 Plus allows users to capture attractive selfies even in low-light conditions. Weight should be 181 g. It is still powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC with Adreno 506 GPU, and the battery size is slightly degraded (4,000 mAh on Redmi Note 5 versus the 4,100 mAh on the Redmi Note 4).

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is the first in the Redmi Note series to come with dual-cameras.

Redmi products have been showcased at the launch event today at 12 pm hosted in New Delhi, with the Indian head of the company, Manu Kumar Jain and product manager, Jai Mani to launch the devices in India.

When it comes to specs and features, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 2,160 x 1,080 screen resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio to keep up with the trend that became popular in 2017. The Redmi Note 5 smartphone is the India Variant of Redmi 5 plus smartphone while the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone is the newer one. Unlike the Redmi Note 5 smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a dual rear cameras as Primary Cameras.

The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat Operating System and on top of that, it features MIUI 9.0 skin.

For those looking for a proper upgrade, Xiaomi has officially announced its latest Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. Redmi Note 5 Pro has 4GB and 6GB RAM while the OnePlus 5T has 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM. This year, Xiaomi claims that it has not only improved the camera on the Redmi Note 5 but also made it the strongest selling point of the device. The smartphone comes with a 5.99-inch full screen display.

A huge battery is another plus for the Redmi Note 5, and it's good to see the headphone jack still there. The familiar antenna lines on the back have been retained from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and so is the circular fingerprint sensor. It features a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass protection.

One of the highlights of the smartphone is its camera. The phone comes in 3 GB and 4 GB RAM variants. On the front, it bears a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor complete with an LED selfie-light module and Beautify 4.0 beautification tech that's been optimised for India.

Connectivity options on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. Both front and rear cameras offer Portrait mode Bokeh effects.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro will be sold in four colour options - black, gold, light blue, and rose gold.
