Twitch Prime adding more free games with monthly subscription

Now Twitch seems to be getting in on the action for Twitch Prime users.

With Twitch Prime you also get ad-free viewing across Twitch channels, an included Twitch channel subscription to subscribe to any of the partner channels, member access to game content, with downloadable content on offer each month for no extra cost.

Twitch has just announced that it is celebrating the community's huge response to the Twitch Prime Indie Amplifier program by welcoming new members with free games. March's five free games include Superhot, Oxenfree, Mr. Shifty, Shadow Tactics, and Dungeons & Dragons: Tomb of Annihilation. Twitch revealed both March and April's games as part of today's announcement, with the first round of titles arriving on March 15.

And going into April, Tales from the Borderlands, SteamWorld Dig 2, Kingsway, Tokyo 42 and Dubwars will be sliding into the inbox of those paying for Twitch or Amazon Prime. As recently as last month, the streaming giant teamed up with Epic Games to hand out skins and other loot from free-to-play battle royale behemoth Fortnite. In the coming months, you can expect to see the remainder of the Indie Amplifier games, such as Tumblestone and High Hell. Considering how many subscribers Twitch Prime already has, Twitch and Amazon are basically just giving out more free stuff because they can. Players will likely have to download the Twitch Desktop App, which has been the delivery method of the free games previously. Other subscription services require users to maintain their subscription to keep their games.
