"Call of Duty: Black Ops 4" Teases Gamers With New Trailer

Activision have recently confirmed that the next Call of Duty game will be called Black Ops 4

Activision have recently confirmed that the next Call of Duty game will be called Black Ops 4

After a couple of speculations and weird title design it is now official (kind of at least) that the next Call of Duty game for 2018 will be Black Ops 4. There is also another date for your diary, with May 17th 2018 booked in for the Community Reveal. Getting in two weeks earlier is clearly thought to be more beneficial than following Rockstar's behemoth.

The publisher of the game announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be released on Friday, October 12. Kotaku has reported recently that the title of the next Call of Duty would be Black Ops IIII and the release date was pretty sooner than what we had expected.

A press release that can be seen on Business Wire also confirmed that the aforementioned first-person shooter will be released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

One thing not mentioned in today's announcement was the rumored Switch version for Black Ops 4.

We already know that each year Call of Duty releases in November, however, this time is different. As of yesterday, when the New Call of Duty title was announced, we were all excited to find out that it's releasing a month earlier than expected.

Official confirmation of the new game came on March 8, when Activision issued the following statement: 'The next title in the Call of Duty franchise will be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4!' If there is any game that could make Call of Duty sweat this year, it's Red Dead. Dedicated players of the Black Ops series will get the most of the narrative as the tagline "Forget what you know" alludes to a change in the status quo. This has been set for May 17th, 2018 - right before this year's E3 event.
