A new fly-through video released by the company shows all the progress made in the construction of the land, dubbed "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge".

Little is known about the series, though it will presumably take place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Producer-writer Jon Favreau is writing and executive producing a live-action Star Wars series for Disney's upcoming global SVOD service.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said in a statement "I couldn't be more excited about Jon coming on board to produce and write for the new direct-to-consumer platform", Kennedy said in.

To be honest, that seems like the sort of thing an 11-year-old actually would believe. "I can't wait to embark upon this exciting adventure".

Favreau's been involved with many Disney projects.

Favreau previously voiced a character in the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and has a role in the May 2018 film "Solo: A Star Wars Story".

NEW YORK - APRIL 28: Director Jon Favreau and actor Robert Downey Jr. attend the after-party for "Iron Man" hosted by The Cinema Society and Michael Kors at The Odeon on April 28, 2008 in New York City.

Disney's Star Wars:Galaxy's Edge is set to open next year at Disney World in California, but for those of us who get into seeing how things are built, a drone's eye tour of the construction site is pretty cool, too.
