Palestinian Man Killed in Clashes With Israeli Occupation Soldiers in Hebron

Palestinian women detained by Israel reportedly face various forms of torture

According to Palestine's Health Ministry, the slain Palestinian youth - whose name was not given - was shot in the chest by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank city of Hebron.

He was shot after the soldiers resorted to the excessive use of force against Palestinian protesters, firing live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs.

The Israeli army said a "riot" had broken out in Hebron and that protesters had attacked soldiers.

Farhat had just completed serving a five-year sentence for throwing a Molotov cocktail at Israeli forces in Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS).

The Palestinian Authority's official news site Wafa has identified the man as 24-year-old Mohammad Zain al-Jabari.

A Palestinian young man died of his wounds suffered during clashes with Israeli soldiers on Friday afternoon in the West Bank, local medics said.

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza said four people were wounded, one of them seriously. However, Sawabteh told Breitbart Jerusalem, "It's the right of the Palestinians to take all measures and use all options at their disposal to protest the humanitarian disaster that's hurting the Gaza Strip".

Palestinians have staged regular protests, that often turn violent, since President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital in December.

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) blasted the decision, with senior official Saeb Erekat saying, "The American administration's decisions to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and choose the Palestinian people's Nakba as the date for this step is a blatant violation of global law". A number of Muslim leaders have warned the move may lead to violence.
