Treasury Secretary defends Trump's use of 'funny names' after insult-laced presidential speech

Waters told the crowd at the California Democratic Convention last month that "It is time to get ready for impeachment", based on the latest updates from special counsel Robert S. Mueller III's investigation of the relationship between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation. "We don't need him in HUD", said Ms. Waters in a video of the speech posted by the Advocate.

"And Maxine Waters, a very low IQ individual", Trump told supporters.

At the mention of both Pelosi and Waters, the crowd chimed in with a chorus of "boo" s before the president continued. Did you ever see her?' Trump told the crowd of cheering supporters. "We will impeach him, we will impeach him", said Trump as he mimicked Waters.

" 'It doesn't matter, we will impeach him.' She's a low-IQ individual", he added.

The audience behind the president seemed to enjoy his impression of the representative from California, smiling and laughing at the mockery.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin was pulled into the back-and-forth Sunday by "Meet the Press" host host Chuck Todd, who grilled him over the president's statements at the rally, including the "low I.Q." remark. 'So he did exactly what I expected him to do.

Trump then doubled down on his support for Republican candidate Rick Saccone, saying that he liked him. "He come for me, I'm coming for him".

The liberal lawmaker has been one of the most vocal critics in Congress of the president's policies, and made comments deeming him unfit for office before he entered the White House. "I've been very vocal, and I've been very confrontational nearly", she said. But, you know, this business about Stormy is not going to go away.

Waters has repeatedly called for Trump's impeachment, even as party leaders urge rank and file members to tamp down the talk.
