Gov. Pete Ricketts' re-election campaign has raised almost $2.3 million over the course of the 2018 election cycle and had almost $1.7 million in cash on hand April 1. The bulk of the spending, about $350,000, went to Jones Day, which has represented the campaign since the 2016 election, including any litigation related to it. According to the report, the Trump campaign paid $1.1 million in legal fees in the fourth quarter of 2017, and has spent $4 million since he took office past year.

It's unusual for a sitting president to raise money for re-election early in his term as aggressively as Trump has done.

Trump's campaign and two fundraising committees that jointly raise funds with the Republican National Committee collected a total of almost $20.2 million in the first quarter, the Post reported. Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, is suing to have the nondisclosure agreement invalidated.

The campaign s pent almost $150,000 at businesses owned by the president this year, including for lodging, catering and rent at properties that include the Trump International Hotel in Washington and Trump Tower in Manhattan.

Trump's campaign has used millions of his campaign cash in the past year to pay legal fees - including some fees associated with responding to the Russian Federation investigation being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

The campaign raised $10.1 million in the first quarter, and has $28.3 million in the bank, according to the records. Those small-dollar donors gave $8.7 million of that amount. Trump will stand for re-election in November 2020.

In addition to payments from the campaign, Parscale's business also received $66,647 from the two fundraising committees and another $46,808 in consulting fees from the main super PAC supporting Trump, America First Action. McEntee was recently forced out of the White House after security issues related to gambling and was then quickly hired by the campaign.
