The first generation of Ryzen processors hit the shelves last February and took the market by storm. That's impressive considering it has eight physical CPU cores.

The Ryzen 7 2700X is priced at Dollars 329 (INR 21,452), whereas the Ryzen 7 2700 is priced at USD 299 (INR 19,496).

These four new models represent the new offers from AMD to give PC users "disruptive levels" of computing performance at their respective price points, which are generally much lower compared to the equivalent, closest-performing counterpart from Intel. The top-of-the-line second generation AMD Ryzen CPU model is reportedly going to be priced at $329, which will be a relatively great bargain when compared to the 1700X and the 1800X, now priced at $399 and $499, respectively.

Intel's new i7 8700k, which sells for about $350, has only six cores, in comparison, as Engadget pointed out. Ryzen 5 2600X, meanwhile, can reach 4.2 GHz. The new flagship CPU, the Ryzen 7 2700X, featuring a stock core clock of 3.9 GHz with a boost clock of 4.3 GHz, 8 physical cores with 16 virtual cores will retail in India for Rs 24,500 + GST.

Another thing for which AMD ought to be applauded is that the new CPUs will still be running the AM4 socket. AMD is expected to release the platform's true follow-up models next year. You will not get a cooler with the CPU so that is something to keep in mind when buying this CPU. It has the same amount of caches as the 2700 Thanks to the lower clock speeds; the 2700 has a 65 W TDP and comes with a Wraith Spire (LED) cooler in the box. The CPUs are up for pre-orders on major etailers around the world, starting from April 13th, while the sale starts from April 19, 2018.

TSAIK's overclocking is hardly the most practical approach to squeezing more out of a CPU, though, unless you happen to have a tank of liquid-nitrogen spare, the adequate tools to handle it, and the cojones to risk some brand new computer hardware.
