Wenger: Arsenal 'lacked urgency' in Moscow

The Gunners secured their spot in the semi-final, where they will face Atletico Madrid, with a 6-3 aggregate win over CSKA Moscow.

Dimitri Payet and his teammates were on rampage as they demolished Leipzig by 5-2 after losing the first leg in Germany by a lone goal.

However, Marseille and RB Salzburg pair in the semi-final fixtures.

Arsenal must do it the hard way in their bid for Europa League glory after drawing favourites Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals.

The final of the Europa League will be hosted by Lyon's Stade de Lyon and is set for Wednesday 16th May.

However, Atletico held on to progress on aggregate after their striker Antoine Griezmann missed a hatful of chances and will take their place in Friday's semi-final draw.

The first legs will be played on April 26, when Arsenal will be at home, with the second legs on May 3.

Diego Simeone's team also endured a stumble in the second leg of their quarter-final, as they eventually edged out Portuguese side Sporting 2-1 on aggregate, but boast the firepower to trouble the best in the business.

They went into the second leg with a 4-1 lead over CSKA Moscow but despite that struggled to create chances and even put shots on target with the home side dominating the game.

Ospina has been the goalkeeper of choice in the Europa League, but missed both legs against CSKA through injury, with Wenger now having a choice between sticking with Cech or recalling the Colombian when fit.

The Frenchman has scored 25 goals in all competitions this term and made 11 assists, an outstanding return which represents the crux of his team's rollicking threat going forward.

Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool manager) on UEFA.com: "If anybody think this is the easiest draw then I can not help this person; they obviously didn't see both games against Barcelona".
