Rumours have been swirling for months that Beyoncé would reunite her pop-soul group Destiny's Child during her headlining performance at Coachella.

The "Someone Like You" singer was quite literally dancing around her living room in glee as her hero headlined the U.S. festival - and there's videos to prove it.

Beyonce's headline spot at Coachella was not only popular with fans - it was a performance that made history, as the singer explained herself when she came on stage.

The last time the band performed together was at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show. "Thank you Coachella for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline".

Beyonce will be back next week for week two of Coachella.

It also featured a rendition of Lift Every Voice and Sing, a song often referred to as the "Black American National Anthem". Her fans have been waiting since her cancelled performance previous year following the announcement of her pregnancy with twins!

The crowd went wild as she produced surprise after surprise all night long.

Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined Beyonce towards the end of the performance.

They performed a medley of old hits, including Baby Boy, Say My Name and Soldier, before Beyonce introduced Michelle and Kelly as "my sisters" and told them she loves them.

Beyoncé posted the above photo from the set on Instagram.

She said: 'I can't possibly accept this award.

The superstar is now off on a worldwide tour with husband Jay-Z.
